I perform Shell Coins Across, a couple of the Wild Coin effects and when Im feeling really bold, the Stonehenge Coin Assembly. although I use postcards of Chicago, and talk about how to get around in the windy city. Great book.

I've used Roth's shell coins across (pp. 62-65) for almost 20 years - David performed this on one of the Tannen's "Stars of Magic" videos. You may want to also check out Paul Gertner's touches to this routine in his "Steel & Silver" yet another great book written and published by Richard). Paul's routine can be found on pages 54-58, and the routine is called "A Familiar Ring".

Another routine that is well within the abilities of the average magician is "The Original Chinese Coin Assembly" (pp. 65-69). I've performed it since 1979 (it was originally published in Apocalypse Vol.1 # 1). It is one of those routines that spectators remember for years.

Also, check out the "Folding Coins Through Table". I've used elements of this routine off an on over the years to nail some complacent magicians that were expecting a standard CTT routine.

In the past, I practiced and performed "The Portable Hole". I haven't been very active is performing for the last 10 years, but in my opinion, this routine is one of the top five routines in coin magic.

Those are some of the standouts for me, but what I have given you is really just the tip of the iceberg.

I've been performing Gertner's "A Familiar Ring" for about two years now, and it is one of the most remembered pieces of magic I do when laymen talk to me upon later meetings. As a shell coin routine, it is perfectly motivated, mind-blowing and not too technically demanding while still being very visual (and auditory) magic.

I also have done "The Tuning Fork" and "Out With Four" from the Roth book...

The Portable Hole
The Table
Shell Coins Across
Folding Coins Across
Down The Sleeve
The Eraser
Hanging Coins
Out With Four

And a minor variant of the deep back clip coins across, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

I just got my copy recently and am working on 'hanging coins'.
It just looks so magical.

I love the drawings also... very clear...
I am VERY happy with my purchase. Great book.
