You can show a possum a watch but he still won't be able to tell time.

Besides, the possum will just use his cell phone.

Congratulations Richard! Your work in sharing this very important material and capturing the nuances that make the approach of Mr. Berglas available makes it more understandable. He is unique.

(If you missed it, start a queue for the next run -- this is a very important book.)

It is a simple advert... RK mailbox is full. I do that to allow him to delete this file and stop the guy who shares the pdf unconsciously.

And you couldn't think that maybe you could email him, rather than advertise a pirate copy of his book on the forum?

Or post saying 'please email me I have a link with a pirated version of your book'

or pretty much ANYTHING rather than actually posting a link to the pirate site thus driving traffic to it?

I guess not...

Sigh

How often do you perform ACAAN or the Berglas effect now? At the moment, I perform more "Think of a card".

The book grew on me. It really is all about performing. If you consider going all the way in trying to master it, consider a stay stack.

If you can faro, you will get there pretty quickly. If you cannot faro, look up Harry Lorayne's Unfaro faro from Quantum leaps. 4 shuffles from a modified full deck order get me there.(Start with a deck in new deck order. The modification is to move all clubs, as a a group, to the top of the deck. Faro away.) If the deck is damaged/old/cruddy, Harry's gets me there.

Of course, this may make sense only if you have the book. And get one of these 20-some sided die from Dungeons and Dragons, it will come in handy for practice.

'Scuse me, I have some practicing to do.

Now that the book is sold out, I'd like to how many of you peform ACAAN, and how often?

Personally, since I don't use a memorized deck, "Think a Card" has been the most valuable thing from the book for me. Considering the type of reaction it gets, it was worth the years I spent working with David on the book.

Exactly, Think a Card is really powerful when executed well. It's a killer in the right hands of course.

Richard, when or where can we get the answer on the last unexplained point you talk about on page 355? You know, at the end of "the Berglas effect" chapter: "What do you see? David first asks for... Hmmm...". I have read the book until the end, but no info is given on this second Berglas Effect from DVD2 (Bull Theatre Show)... Is it voluntary, to keep our imagination and creativity alive? ;)

David's response to me when asked about that was: "It's already in the text."

Which text? You mean the explanation for this second performance of the Berglas effect the same evening, on Bull Theatre Show, can be found somewhere between the lines in the book?

Can I get some advice please. I can do the reverse push fan perfectly with an out of the box good quality deck or one with fanning powder. The more I practice with a deck however the poorer the quality of the fan is.
Is this representative ? Do you need a relatively new deck or else use fanning powder or is it simply a matter of yet more practice if I want to use a more worn in deck?

Thanks for the feedback

Shane

Berglas can do it with any deck that is not sticky. He can use an out-of-the-box new Bicycle deck, or a deck with fanning powder.
If the deck is in any way sticky, then it won't work. So, yes, it's either a newish deck or fanning powder.
