Today Mr. Jennings made it to Northrhine Westfalia right between Cologne and Düsseldorf.
Thank you very much.

In an effort to help avoid the Rawson & Merlini topic becoming the Thread Of Death for the Genii Forum (nothing seems to have moved here in days), I wondered if anyone else had received this most elusive Jennings book?

Not yet, Richard - but keen to hear where in the world Mr Jennings is appearing.
Perhaps NORAD could adapt their Santa Tracker to follow Larry as he makes his way around the globe.
Cheers

Did you order a deluxe?

Yes.
It will turn up I'm sure - the last book I ordered from the US took around 3 months. Used to take less than a week in 'the olden days'.

I have just finished up the modifications to all the deluxe books for customers outside the USA. They are being picked up by DHL on Tuesday. You should have it by the end of next week or so.

Re: Yahoo! Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy Has Shipped!
Mine arrived here in France a couple of days ago.
What an INCREDIBLE book! I'm literally just finishing my very gradual cover-to-cover reading of the DeLand book (which is also INCREDIBLE), and now there's this. It's hard to resist dipping in and trying things, but it does seem the intention is to work through from the beginning. So at the rate I go it's going to take a while. But I'm truly in awe of the amount of work that's gone into both these books. What an amazing contribution to the art of magic.

Edwin, you can dip into the Jennings book at any point if you have some background in card work. There might be a reference to something described earlier, but those things are easy to look up. Enjoy it!

There's so much I want to try out that I'll no doubt be doing just that. The whole thing is just so thorough and so well done that it's going to be a real pleasure to read.
Inspired by the book I also just ordered the Jennings DVD. I was reluctant at first because I already have the old video cassettes (also the Derek Dingle one), but of course it's hard to watch those now and at $17 for the DVD you can't really go wrong. Maybe there will be a DVD version of the Dingle video too?

Ironically, if you look at the name actually on the DVD, it says “Dingle”. I always wondered if the Dingle DVD says “Jennings”?
Obviously, way to much time on my hands.

Jennings is a two DVD set. Dingle only did one DVD, not sure why.

Dear Mr Kaufman,
It looks like the adventures of Jennings takes it easy are still going strong.
FedEx told me they have my package but an empty one.
What's the best way to contact you so as to look into this situation?
All the best from France,
Lucas.

Yep,
A FedEx employee called me to say that they do have my package but the book must have left it during the transport to my home after re-scheduling the delivery.
I'll send a message to Donna.
Thanks for your fast reply, have a nice day.
Lucas.

Re: Yahoo! Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy Has Shipped!
The FedEx box that I received it in was a bit on the thin side (more an oversized carton envelope than an actual box), but because of the solid production of the book it self, it did not receive any dents.
(Meanwhile, the indexing has been done.)

Re: Yahoo! Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy Has Shipped!
I wasn't going to relate this because it seems kind of dumb, but here 'tis.
When my copy arrived, I did my Covid mail routine. I bring in the mail with my left hand, opening the door with my right. I put the mail in quarantine for two days and wash my hands. The box didn't feel all that heavy. When I opened the box and saw that beautiful cover, I lifted it with both hands and it seemed to weigh a ton. A free Light Heavy trick. (I hope it's explained in the expanded edition of Greater Magic.)
It brought to mind the Less is More trick with the three wooden blocks.

Just FYI: there is little to no fomite transmission of COVID-19. It has been announced by the CDC and Dr. Fauci that it is not necessary to quarantine your mail or wipe it off.
Enjoy the book!

I absolutely love the book. But I'm pretty sure you're supposed to quarantine a summons, notice of eviction, and bills for weeks, even months.

Re: Yahoo! Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy Has Shipped!
Copy 10 of 100 has arrived safely in Urlingford, Ireland ......................... so the wait is over.
I took the necessary COVID-19 precautions by letting my wife open the parcel and then I removed the book.
Mr Jennings is a most welcome guest and I look forward to the coming sessions and learning from this great master of card magic.

Hello friends
Probably a dumb question but..... will Mr Jennings eventually be available from the usual dealers? I like to support my local bricks and mortar shop here in the UK.
Cheers and good health
