I am learning Pat Page's Everlasting rope at the moment - not a difficult trick but I am wondering if anyone has a tip on cutting the rope naturaly. A certain something attatches to my scissors if you know what I mean. Any advice?

Do they make non-magnetic scissors, from aluminum (excuse me, aluminium -- it's a Pat Page trick after all) or something else?

i doubt that you can get Aluminium scissors, as its a very soft metal.
you can get them with a carbide or ceramic cutting edge. these are designed for use in " Safe rooms" where any risk of static charge has to be reduced to nill.
However they are costly...

ceramic scisors

Note that the blurb says that these are used for cutting through Kevlar.
Cotton rope should be a breeze!

On his video, Pat just slams down the scissors through the rope as if he is cutting it. Because the gimmicks are not at the exact bottom of the loop, once they come loose, they have no way to get back together.

There are children's safety scissors made entirely of plastic available at many toy stores. Jumbo plastic clown "scissors" are available wherever clown accessories are sold.

An alternate effect is on my site under the name "Ghost Ropes" in The Wizards' Journal #1. It uses no clinging gimmicks at all, and the effect is that the rope cuts itself in half, so no scissors are needed at all. Then the two pieces of the rope are separated, a move not possible with Pat's version. Finally, both pieces are restored.
