Hey there guys, i'm not a smoker so i don't know my way around cigarettes, so i just wanted to get some expert advice on cardini style tonguing (non-lit cigarettes).
Is there any particular brand of cigs that are better suited to this?
I've tried one from my friend but i can't seem to get a normal size cigarette all the way in. Thanks.

John Rogers makes fantastic wooden cigars and cigarettes that look real (and lit!). Check him out at woodencigars.com.

If you must use the real thing, try unfiltered, which are that much shorter. I believe there's a (hey, I asked for a cigarette and somebody throws me a) Camel unfiltered available, for instance.

Thanks Steve, but i have a john rogers cig, except i rather stupidly bought the extra long ones. D'oh
Thanks Shane, i'll have to buy some camels unfiltered and have a go.

The Cardini tonguing was never done with a whole cig. Read the cigarette chapter in Henry Hay's Amateur Magician's Handbook.
Recently I have acquired Keith Clark's Encyclopedia of Cigarette Tricks in a library purchase from a friend, but I haven't have a chance to read it yet. You might try to find that.

Are y'all talking about the flipping a cig back into the mouth then flipping it out? I never tried it when I smoked but I went to bootcamp with a guy who could do it lighting quick. Use to do it when the DI's came by.

Those thin straight pretzels are fun to practice the move with if you can handle the calories...

Really Jon? I'll have to look it up in the hay book.
Isn't it done with a full cigarette in the Mullica book?
