Harry Loryane new book

This was posted by Lior Manor
(I know him from Israel)

"...let me finish with my view about Trend Setters by Harry Loryane:
It contains an uninteresting mish- mash of meager variations...
So many of his books makes the claim to contain material "held back" that it's
usually impossible to take seriously,as is the concurrent claim in
virtually every book he's published for 25 years that it would be
his "last book".

Can you psot something about his new book?
I want to buy it.

great to see you here Lior

Hi, Moshe, and Happy New Year.

In all honesty, there are a few good items in Harry's newest book (not "Trend Setters," that's an old one) but I didn't feel it was worth $150.

I've been a Harry Lorayne fan, but I'm not spending 150 bucks on any book. Maybe there will be a paperback version of the new one.

I had Trend Setters years ago. I don't remember it well. Seems to me there was a lot of "moves" in the book...

I just got an email from Lior Manor:

"The review about Harry Loryane was written
by Richard Kaufman and not by me .
The numbers tells you the Vol , the Year and the issue where you can find the original.

I don't post over there because I am not civil.

Happy new year"
end of email

I am sorry about it
not a nice joke

In the Lorayne $150 book, "Personal Collection," Harry hypes the last effect, "What A M-E-S! as the best trick in the book and one which he had planned to market for $50 to $100.

The trick is actually a very minor variation of Ed Marlo's "Mexican Solitaire" which you can find in Vol. 1 of the IBIDEM reprint issued by Stephen Minch and Hermetic Press (originally published by R. Kaufman).

I believe you can pick up both volumes of IBIDEM for about $80 -- and this is a real deal because not only do you get the Lorayne trick but several hundred others.

Moshe,
First, I banned Lior from the Forum for a reason, so please do NOT post messages from him here, or I will ban you as well.
Second, Harry Lorayne does not have a computer, so he does not have e-mail.

Harry Lorayne does not have a computer, so he does not have e-mail.
Hmmm, I think I may have been taken in then. Some time ago when I posted about Michael Vincent's routine "The Many Faces of a Woman", I received an e-mail from "Harry Lorayne, harrylorayne@earthlink.net"

I must admit it sounded authentic!

Is this an imposter?

Hi Paul,
it may have been Paul Gordon. He seems to think he's Harry Lorayne.
To anyone thinking of buying Harry's big book, I can only repeat what I've said long ago. Think of the Lorayne books you can get for the same price, that will serve you so much better! You can get the first Apocalypse book and Best Of Friends! Or you can get Close-Up Card Magic AND Personal Secrets AND Reputation Makers AND Quantum Leaps AND Best Of Friends AND a dozen decks of Bicycles at Sam's Or Costco! Such better material in the books I've listed here.
