"Kirk's Kup" was a trick put out by Ken Allen based on an idea by "Red" Kirkland, Jr. in, I believe, the 1960s.
A dice cup is shown empty and two dice are dropped in the cup and a third one goes to the pocket.
The die from the pocket magically jumps from the pocket back to the cup and three dice are rolled out. This is repeated.
For the third version, the spectator drops the two dice into the cup and the third die still vanishes from the pocket and appears in the cup.
Now all three dice are dropped in the cup but when the cup is inverted a jumbo die rolls out.
I started performing this as a young magician and have always had a fondness for the routine.
Has anyone else had experience with the routine and if so, what are your ideas and experiences?

Nice little false transfer by Carson, but a little mean to Paul. Carson was never above one-upping his guests, be they comedians, impressionists or magicians.
