Yes. I believe so. I certainly have one. Mine (unpublished) may be, however, a reconstruction of an unpublished Vernon handling from the 1920s. Of course, unless one sees it live - yours and mine - one can never be sure.

Paul Diamond demoed what appears to be similar, if not the same, back in the mid-80s. I've used it ever since. To the best of my recollection he called it a slippery double, but don't quote me. I don't recall him sharing any provenance.

I felt the double lift was still in the wilderness.

That Double Lift certainly looks David Ben's.

Without the move being in frame, and the get-ready, if any, shown, it’s hard to distinguish this lift from the technique described as “soft double” in Roger Krause in Concert, which I’ve been told is a Vernon handling of the double lift.

Whosever it is, from my perspective it looks very good. I like that you hold the deck vertically to display the card. I am sick to death of magicians performing at waist level or even lower. And don't be ashamed to show your face either.

If you perform for small groups of people who are standing, then hands at waist level is good.

It will be discussed in the Jennings books, but the most essential element is that your misdirection is vertical, not horizontal.

It's a kind of floating double lift. Beautiful and elegant. I use that kind of DL occasionally. I didn't know this one is David Ben's. I'm glad to know it and increase my cultural knowledge.

By the way, Koudai San, nice way to avoid the use of a duplicate. In "Card Manipulations" by Hugard there is a trick called "Invisible Transit" that use the same method, but just placing the card on the deck, whereas you take the deck to the pocket as a way to conceal the movement. CooI.
