Hi i remenber a trick in the sanwich serie the finish is all cards apear betwen two kings or so, and the deck is in the other hand and is only the sellect card
nowbody remenber that?

It seems like the whole deck between the sandwich cards was mostly treated as a gag or precursor - see Walton's Smiling Mule and variations thereof.

Bannon may have been the first to turn it into a core effect with the deck travelling to the sandwich cards at the denouement (and leaving the selection behind).
