Help in crediting a move...

Postby Guest » August 30th, 2006, 1:58 pm

I wish my first post could be something profound and insightful, but honestly I am in need of the collective minds of Genii...

I have it on good authority that this change has been done before. Someone pointed me in the direction of Paul Sherman's "Round About Change", but after seeing it performed there are several differences. Someone also suggested to me that Lennert Green has something similar.

So please, check it out, let me know who would be the proper person to credit...

I thank you in advance for your reponses.

Very nice, Brett!

Check with Steve Beam at sbeam@mindspring.com about the change.

Thanks guys, and I will be writing Steve Beam first thing tomorrow.

If you guys like the effect be sure to check out

www.scottyjay.co.uk/ezine.html

Or it is also available at Peter Duffie's Web site

www.peterduffie.com

The ezine has sold a few copies now and someone mentioned to me that the move was someone else's so I really wanted to try to find the originator.

Thanks for the help.

Looks to me like a variant of Marlo's Miracle Change.

There's a similar change in The Magic of Michael Ammar credited to Barry Price. Does anyone know where or if Price published his version?

Terrific effect, Brett! I haven't a clue what you're doing, or the source of the move. I suspect that camera tricks are involved. Well done!

The major difference as I see it it with the "Miracle" Change is that is doesn't require a tenkai, as was the difference with the Round About. The Barry Price move I am unfamiliar with.

Thanks Tom, much appreciated.

There's a change in Card Finesse by Racherbaumer that's very similar.

I looked up the Racherbaumer reference, similar, but still not exact. Now on to finding Steve Beam's Twister.

Thanks to Steve Hook and Randy DiMarco, Steve Beam sent me an email and said it was in fact Twister. Thanks guys, I'm glad I can finally give credit where it is due.

On a side note, thanks to everyone for the quick responses, look forward seeing you in the Internether.
