Magic with old casino cards
I'm wondering - Do people use old casino cards (with the cut corners) for card tricks? Are they too weird or suspicious to use with laymen? From just messing around with an old deck from the Flamingo, I see the cut corners allow for a very easy double lift when the cards are reversed, and for a stripper-like property as well.

I've had the same thought, but haven't seen anyone use them.

I've made Mene-Tekel decks using old casino cards with the heavily rounded corners. The reactions have been good. I suspect this is because the spectators believe the cards have to be "normal" because of what the casino has done to them to ensure that I can't use them for cheating. I did have to sand the corners a little to make sure everything was even. I've never fooled around with cards that have the hole in the middle because I the holes has always been off center for very obvious reasons.

Barry Richardson used cut cards for his memorization demonstration.
