Some cup and ball ideas

Postby Al Schneider » June 29th, 2018, 9:44 am

Hi Guys,

I guess I am bored being an old guy now. So, I been playing around with some cup and ball moves. I put them in a little routine to show you.

Curious what you think. It is not really a finished routine, no big finish. The main goal was to do stuff with no extras.

Looked fantastic to me! You can’t be that old if you can do a routine like that. :)

Al,
Your work, analysis of moves, and depth of thinking is an inspiration.
Lovely to see you back.

No big finish? All three balls vanishing is a big finish. It's just not a big load finish. It also honors you goal of doing stuff with no extras. I've always liked the Ken Brooke routine which uses only three balls and I enjoyed your routine. Your routines are always well thought out and clean. Thank you for sharing.

Mr. Schneider this is a great idea. I hope you will consider the head Genie's suggestion. Hopefully your answer will be yes!:)

Gentlemen, you honor me. I can't say yes but I will start work on it now so when I say yes I will have something to deliver.

And Quentin, I fondly remember my trip to Ireland.

Richard,

Been thinking about it all and I have an idea.

What if I wrote several columns on 3X3 experiment. The articles would be about each aspect of the routine. Here is a suggested format for several issues.

3X3 Introduction
Introduce concepts and philosophies of designing, building, and implementing the routine.

3X3 Moves

3X3 The Vanishing

3X3 The Homing

3X3 The Gathering

3X3 The Dispersion

3X3 The Total Vanishing

3X3 The Routine

3X3 Summary
Focuses on questions that may have been presented by readers.

3X3 What's Next

What do you think?

Al? Do you like Peter Kane's 3 cup handling? Tommy Wonder features it in the Books of Wonder. I don't know much about the Cups & Balls - but I always liked that Peter Kane strategy.
