Does anyone knows the exact fabric Mr. Bertram used for his welcome mat?

Check with David Ben, but I believe he used a very expensive pool table felt.

I think the instructions are in one of his books, can't remember if it's on the DVDs.

The Ross Bertram Welcome Mat was made of a very high quality wool called Merino wool according to the information supplied with the video "Ross Bertram's Legendary Magic".

I'm sure David will have more 'work' on it.

It took Ross a very long time to find the appropriate material for the Welcome Mat. (I was seeing him quite frequently at the time.) He eventually found a supplier in England. It was high end billiard cloth, the type used to cover snooker tables. Perhaps it was made of Merino wool - that would not surprise me as Merino wool is fantastic - but I can't recall precisely. Hope that helps.

Many of you will remember Tabman, he made some wonderful stuff including close up performing surfaces. His included Maii pool table felt. I created a few of these myself and can vouch that they are a fantastic surface to work on. They don't pill like many do. Here is a link:
