I recently moved to Houston, TX and I am looking for some close-up magicians for jam sessions.

Houston has many excellent magicians, both close up and stage. Frank Price, Shane Wilson, Ben Jackson, Gary Plants, Daniel Garcia, Scott Hollingsworth, Curt Miller, Scott Wells and many others are close up experts in the area. Your best way to make contact is through the local magic clubs, especially the umbrella club, the Houston Association of Magicians. Here's a website that will get you started:

I believe the local Tokyohana restaurant still features table side magic on a regular basis and there may be others.
