New(ish?) Twist on Magic Squares

Postby JHostler » January 2nd, 2016, 6:58 pm

It's funny how elusive the obvious can be.

Upon recently revisiting Colm Mulcahy's "Flushed With Embarrassment" (http://cardcolm-maa.blogspot.com/2013/0 ... sment.html), I was struck by the notion of using either the Gilbreath or Triskadequadra principle with number cards as a lead-in for "magic squaring" and/or a numerical prediction. Surely this territory was mined years ago(??)

I continue to toy with the concept and research precedents, but would love to hear from anyone with top-of-mind knowledge.

Cheers,
