I have received a few emails regarding such a hunter style watch and opening the front. FYI - the correct way to open the front is to press down on the lever release button on top of the crown. The spring hinged cover will spring open. Catch the cover with your fingers to prevent shock to the case. To close it, press on the lever release button (continue holding it down) and press the cover closed with your fingers, then release the lever. Operating it in this manner will prevent wear on the lever.
