Velver Cord

Postby JR Russell » April 3rd, 2004, 9:22 pm

My velvet cord that I use for my ring & string routine is getting worn out. Can anybody recommend where/how I can replace it. I have looked in a couple of fabric shops with no luck. If anyone has an on-line recommendation, it would help greatly because I live in Germany.

Yeah...I've looked for velvet cord for years in all different kinds of craft and fabric stores even looked a little on google and still haven't been able to locate any.

Pity...it's the nicest stuff to perform with...

Used to use velvet "sash cord", which was available at most fabric stores. Have not looked for a while. Good luck.

Worth the few bucks to find out perhaps, though I would just call the firm and ask them the diameter and construction. The sash cord was a velvet tube with a soft cotton core.

Ya could try looking for velvet cord on articles of womens clothing...I found some decent velvet cord on a dress that my daughter out grew.

Just a thought...
