Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I've been searching for a store from which to purchase this great trick but have been coming up empty...am I too late to the party? Or is there a source I don't know about?

Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide...

Dan

Hi, Bob -

What are the differences between v1 and v2?

Thanks -

I read the subject as "Bammo Card Wallpaper".

Is this available at Home Depot?

Bill: Yes, there's a special on Saturday mornings at Home Depot on the trick.

Mark:

The new version allows you to use any back design your heart desires (but still poker size cards). Also included are additional routines that were only previously available separately, including an absolutely devastating routine by Gaetan Bloom and a version by Mike Close that fooled me when I first saw it (yes, it is embarrassing to admit to be fooled by your own trick).

If purchased directly from Mr. Farmer, is there a trade-up option from v1 to v2? Thanks in advance.

I'm not selling it directly, it's only available from your dealer. There is no trade-up option, but eventually original purchasers will wear out their deck and need a new one, so this way you get new mysterious monads (customizable) and several new routines. The Gaetan Bloom routine is so good, it alone is worth the purchase price (and it's really the most impressive way to do a trick that is already very effective).

Bob, what motivates taking the pack to that order rather than new deck order?

One more thing about 2.0--all purchasers get a unique code. If you send that to me as explained in the instructions, I'll send you a free manuscript that explains a somewhat similar effect, but with a completely ordinary deck.

Yeah, I give away for free better tricks than others actually sell.

Absolutely! (Bob never stops thinking/improving stuff and providing after purchase support. I still have the bonus routine you gave purchasers of Deja Voodoo--brilliant!)

Quick question: in terms of the customizable aspect of V2.0, does it allow you to finish in new deck order by any chance? (fingers crossed ;) )

New deck order would be possible if you wanted to spend a whole lot more money, but for the present modest price it simply is not cost effective. However, Mike Close's routine is only effective because he doesn't use new deck order. All of this is explained in the instructions. I include a complete history of this sort of effect/method and the rationale and thought processes I used to create the trick.

Actually, my routine was designed to figure out a reason why the deck should be arranged into fours-of-a-kind rather than new deck order. The patter that goes with the routine (which is called Sideswiped Meets the Bammo Deck Walloper and which can be found in detail in Closely Guarded Secrets)gives a logical rationale for the revelation of the fours-of-a-kind.

As far as I'm aware, just about nobody does this routine, so it's fertile ground if you're looking for something "new" to fool magicians or laymen.

Here is an unsolicited review by a man with excellent taste and perception:

Just received a couple of hours ago and the fact I have owned the original edition for a few years (now looking very tired) decided to order the 2 version to see what the difference was. The fantastic thing is you can now use virtually any deck of your choice just add a few cards from your favourite deck and away you go. Also there are more routines supplied as previously there was only one. I really like this trick that`s why i purchased it again easy to do but a real mind blower for spectators, It really is as described nothing to hide or worry about Easy to do Easily worth the asking price Stunning effect in it`s own right but I have worked on this over the years by adding my own take on it to enhance it to an even higher level Brilliant

BAMMO CARD WALLOPER CONSUMER ALERT!!!

A Japanese magician, Syouma, is marketing an inferior version of my trick, "The Bammo Card Walloper." He calls it the, "Miracle Triumph Deck."

As far as I know, I am the first person to create a Triumph effect using gaffed cards where the deck ends up in order. There are methods that use a regular deck that I’ve invented as well as others.

The "Miracle Triumph Deck" simply takes all the work I did, and substitutes an obvious and inferior method, and combines that with an awkward handling.

The proper procedure would have been to contact me and ask my permission before marketing this deck. However, even if that had been done, I would not have approved its sale—it’s simply a bad method and has none of the impact of "The Bammo Card Walloper" (nor any of the great routines by people like Gaetan Bloom and Mike Close that are included).

Inventors should get credit for their inventions and respect for their work.

I've exchanged emails with Syouma and, to his credit, he has said he will withdraw the trick from the market--but he add, "temporarily."

It is irritating (but not surprising) that some magicians are either so ignorant or dishonest that they would produce or buy cheap knockoffs (especially when the real trick costs less than what I'm going to be charged for the oil change and tire rotation I'm scheduled for this morning).

On a more sunny note, it amused me that you can buy Bob's trick on the Wal-Mart website:

(FWIW, it's an excellent trick and will fool...)

These items are on Walmart site but they are being sold by third parties (MJM Magic, Inc. and Books Direct). And performer thought it was just YouTube ruining magic on the internet.
