Card Warp - folded in four
Good afternoon,
What is the credits history on the phase of card warp where you fold the card in four then pass that folded in four card through the tunnel to have it come out the other way (inside in becomes inside out) ?
thanks in advance,
Jon

I'm pretty sure I've seen a card folded in four at some point used for this, but can't be certain or recall clearly.

Bill Goodwin's "Siamese Twins" is a one card Card Warp. The card is folded in fourths and then the changes occur.

Re: Card Warp - folded in four
It's not in the original manuscript. Bill Goodwin's Siamese Twins has some similar moves, but with the one card. There was a routine in (I think) Apocalypse which had a single card flipping inside out.

Re: Card Warp - folded in four
I've used the folded in four idea, but the card doesn't come out--it vanishes.
However, I think I've seen what Jonathan is describing somewhere.

Richard Osterlind had a card folded in four and it turned inside out, this is where Goodwin got the idea but it does not use the cover card.

Osterlind's item is listed in volume 4 of his series - is there a printed citation to work from?

Re: Card Warp - folded in four
Bob McAllister's "The Fastest Card Trick in the Universe" in Apocalypse, November 1985, is a card folded in four that turns inside out, using a dollar bill. Ken Krenzel's version "Slowed Up" (without the dollar bill) is in the January 1987 issue. Jay Sankey published something similar called "Definitely Warped" in "100% Sankey".

No Printed citation, it was on a early VHS tape produced by the dreaded one. LOL!

That's cool - not wanting to invoke the name of the bee that buzzed well but stung many.
Perhaps Richard Osterlind or his delegate would provide some background on that work?

Is Richard Osterlind's trick named Original Inside Out in DVD Mind Mysteries, Vol. 6 ?

Re: Card Warp - folded in four
For reference, the cut/tear in used in the card for Bob McAllister's item is the other way and the item offered outside of context of the Walton trick. If you're keeping indices on this stuff, think of it as a phase in the Walton trick where you put the warpee outside the tunnel and it inverts in a blink ;) :) Thanks Bob. And Harry.
Ken Krenzel's item uses the same tear/cut and loses the bill to have the action take place when you close then open your hand around the card. Jan 87. Again - outside context of the Walton item so add this to the index under 'warpage' as well.

Thanks.
I think the buzy bee VHS was Richard Osterlind Challenge Magic in 1990.
