There was a three card monte routine that I did several years back where the Joker (or odd card) turned into a selected card at the end. It involved double stick tape and the optical monte move. I thouhgt that it was by Michael Weber and in his Lifesavers book, but a quick check there did not turn anything up. If someone knows what book this is in please let me know.
Thanks,
Gary

There's a nice version of this trick in Chris Kenner's book. 5-Speed I think it's called(?)

Thanks Guys,
In my mind I really have this tied to Michael Weber, so maybe it's in some lecture notes of his that I have. I'll check there.
Ed - Which Kenner book is 5-Speed in?
Thanks,
Gary

Mark Mason also has what seems to be a very similar trick called "Stuck Up Monte". It is on his "Real World Magic" DVD set and also in his recent lecture notes.

Gary, Weber's effect is definitely on his Steven's tape. The Kenner version is in his book, Out of Controland is essentially the same effect.

Thanks, Frank
I'll check out the version in Kenner's book. I don't own the Steven's tape so that's not where I originally saw the routine.

The "version" in the Kenner book is Michael Weber's. If you read the introduction to the trick you will get the gist of what went on.
Michael performed this, but did not explain it, at an 8 hour lecture he gave in Niagara on the Lake in the early 80's. It was not in print at that time but may have made it into some later lecture notes.
