Rummaging around for some things, I come across a spare set of Mike Skinner's Ultimate Three Card Monte - I have no idea when nor where I acquired it.
Looking in the envelope that holds the cards, I find six extra cards. Each has a Five of Hearts face, and the back is simply the text INSTRUCTIONS - World's Greatest Card Trick.
I try googling Instructions World's Greatest Card Trick, but that leaves me drowning in effects that claim to be the world's greatest etc.
I expect that somebody here knows what they're for? Thanks in anticipation.
What are these cards for?

Re: What are these cards for?
Dave, if my questionable memory serves those have nothing to do with the Skinner trick.
You perform an effect where you pretend to read instructions from the Five of Hearts side of the card (shuffle the cards, pick a card, etc.) until the spectator has arrived at a choice. At the denouement you turn over the "instruction" card to reveal the Five of Hearts as their selection.

Thanks Joe. My apologies, I should have made it clear that I've been performing U3CM for decades, and I know that those cards are nothing to do with it. I merely wondered their purpose.
Your description of the trick makes perfect sense.

I think it's Side-Swiped by Simon Aronson (2002)
Apparently, you can find it in Simple Simon (1995) under the tittle This Side Up, page 87.

Once again, the two guys on here that can find anything are Philippe and Bill Mullins. Since they are never seen together, they may be the same guy.
Re: What are these cards for?
Philippe is correct, I found Side-Swiped in a magic drawer.
Mr. Aronson's marketed effect includes a 29 page booklet, an instruction card with actual instructions on it and my set includes several cards with the Three of Hearts on it as well as the Five.

I thought Side Swiped was great. Lovely, surprising effect, simple method.
I also think Philippe is great!

I never find anything myself. I just email Philippe, he tells me, and I reveal it and take credit.
