Hey guys, just thought I'd share this here. It's a delightful trick from Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy.
I first met Mike Shelley in the dealers room at a Nycan convention in the 90's. He had stuff I'd never seen before and he impressed me as a demonstrator. I never forgot him, nor did I ever see him again.
Now, here is his name tucked away in this magnificent publication- and I couldn't be happier.
I performed thus for the first time tonight exactly as written and it got great reactions as I knew it would. Simple, magical, and so much fun. Lots of smiles all around.
Thanks Richard.

A lovely effect from a great book.

Glad to hear that you picked up on it. You can see Jennings perform the trick in the Close-Up Gallery at the Magic Castle on the Thoughts on Cards DVD. He gets a lot out of it!

What is exactly what you like about this effect?

The effect has no sleight of hand. Why don't you learn it and try it on an audience. You will answer your own question.
