I'm a researcher of mechanical puzzles and have come across a selection of Tenyo brand mechanical puzzles. I'm wondering if anybody has any insight on these? I'm looking for a complete release history. Puzzle collectors seem to have discovered many of the variations...but it would be nice to know the history and if there is a complete archive available...possibly via somebody at Tenyo? Thanks for the help!
The most commonly known series is the "Beat the Computer" pentominoes puzzles:

I've also encountered numerous other types of puzzles: including burr assembly puzzles, disentanglement style puzzles and dexterity puzzles:

Re: Non-Magic Tenyo Mechanical Puzzles
There is no written history of Tenyo puzzles as far as I know. Hideo Kato was involved with the creation of some of the puzzles and I can put you in touch with him if you like. Email me at moobooks@verizon.net
