Very cool, one of the holy grail of Tenyo.
Glad they listened to what their customers really wanted.
Be interesting to see if this changes the pricing of Tenyos Ultra Tube on line, considering the insane pricing lately.

I'm guessing the price of an original Ultra Tube will fall and be closer in line with the Tenyo Elite price of $285. Anyone who really wants Ultra Tube now has the chance.

I have an original but I fear using it as it's just too expensive to handle should something go wrong (like dropping it or having the Ultra Tube printing rub off with use as is apparently the case with even light use).

One problem with the asking price by most sellers is that they bought it for quite a bit more and are still trying to turn a hefty profit, as can be seen by their reserve not being met even at $500.

I think you can use your "Ultra Tube" without worrying about it unless you tend to drop things a lot. The trick is too good not to be used.

:D

Not when I see it selling for $500-$1000.

I will perform my Tenyo Elite though.

Maybe I'm looking too hard for a method, but the new promotional video does seem to suggest how it's done even if it's not flashing in the conventional sense.

The Elite visual instant change at 1:34 (forum embedding doesn't permit exact times) shows the die dropped into the tube but it seems to stop halfway at the thumb rather than falling all the way to the bottom. Or am I just seeing things. I still couldn't explain its workings. Is this consistent with the original version?

I don't know if plastic is better environmentally over wood in terms of resource depletion, but the walnut certainly has more of an organic feel to it. Less of a prop and more like a magic tube.

I'll stick with the original handling...

If you read the instructions for Ultra Tube, you'll note that there is a visual change described in the original, done with one hand. The free hand does not cover or pass over the end of the tube. Works just peachy.

I 'think' I got one. Have received a PayPal confirmation but nothing from JPS.
