Are you by chance a fan of the now-defunct Adventurers' Club?

More than you could possibly imagine.

I'd been involved in creating something similar over here 15yrs ago (based around medieval Knights & explorers called "Medieval Nights" i scripted and designed all the Merlin stuff you'll be unsurprised to know) and kept having people tell me it was a bit like this thing they saw at disney. In 2002 i finally got over to see it and fell in love with the place, both because it was so utterly brilliant but also because i could see it "from the other side" and truely appreciate the genius in some of the decisions they'd made. I went back many many times including the spectacular final week :-)
