Earl Nelson's Variations

Postby Guest » December 14th, 2002, 11:19 am

My understanding is that Mike Caveney is coming out with the following at the end of January:

Variations Revisited (an updated version of Earl Nelson's book Variations);
Versatile Card Magic Revisited (an updated version of Frank Simon's book); and
a DVD of Earl Nelson performing the moves from Versatile Card Magic

Whew! The release of those books are going to be a lifesaver!

When I took my sabbatical from magic I packed up my magic library and put it into storage... at that time I didn't have any plans to get back into magic. Recently when I decided to re-enter the magic world after a 10 year break I reinstalled my library and discovered one box missing... in it is my first edition copy of Earl's Variations... talk about being a little depressed and frustrated! -- that book had given me quite a few wonderful routines that were in my repertoire...

While it won't be the same as my first edition copy (it's around here somewhere, just gotta go through more boxes), at least I'll have access to some incredible information that stood me well (and I suppose even more new stuff)...
