There are magic events that many of us that have been around for more than a few years recall vividly. Those times when you were seriously fooled. It doesn't happen very often.
I can't recall the convention or the year, but it may well have been one of the early Gatlinburg conventions when Al Cohen blew me away, with what amounted to chewing gum, a rubber band and a safety pin. He talks about it in the July column.
It brought back some fun memories.
