Hi. This is one of those tricks that you forget how good it is. Not only that. I forget how to do it. It's somewhere in the magazine. Can anyone help? I still have the cards but they have been sitting in my drawer for 30 years and they are a mess. Thanks. FYI This trick has a killer finish.

Hi,

The trick can be found in Genii, April 1981, pg. 248 (Vol. 45).

I like the trick too and have performed it. It has a nice premise.
Although Dr. Raymond Beebe suggested to turn the entire spread over to show the back of the stranger card and the backs of the other cards all at one time, I suggest turning over the stranger card first. Once it registers with the audience that the card has a different color back, turn over the remaining cards to show their backs have changed color as well. Turning all the cards over at once is too confusing to the audience and they aren't sure what just happened

Another idea is to use cards with different back designs as well.

I have a photo copy of the article I can email to you if you don't have the Genii issue.

I'm glad you want to help the gentleman, but we don't photocopy things out of Genii and mail them to people. The first poster is welcome to subscribe and have access to all 57,000 pages of Genii.

And that is why I like the digital version of Genii so much........before I reached page 248 I read an interesting article by Pete Biro about Ken Brooke's visit to the USA, Topper Martyn's column about the joy of collecting and Bill Larsen's review of Siegfried and Roy in the Frontier Hotel. BTW I realized it was also in the Frontier Hotel I have seen S&R for the first time.

Makes sense.
I won't send any Genii articles.

Thanks
