Paul osbornes birdcage

Hello, ive been building the birdcage of osborne, it all works alright looks nice to but there is one problem, the cording keeps peeping out and i work under surcomstances where light is not always dimmeble i prever working with full light anyway so audiance can see there is nothing to hide. so can anybody help me solve this prob? would be verry greatfull
