Video of Pete McCabe's "Double Stuff"

Postby David Acer » July 15th, 2009, 11:23 pm

Hi Folks,

With Pete McCabe's permission, freely granted during a conversation unrelated to a simultaneous discussion regarding the disappearance of his cat, I've posted a clip on youtube of him performing his bitten-and-restored cookie trick, "Double Stuff," published in the August, 2009 Genii. Note that it wasn't shot as a formal demo - just a quick clip for me to write from. Here's the link:

P.S. Good news! Pete's cat is back!

My worst nightmare has come true: The Never Depleting Cookie.

I hope this doesn't work with Tagalongs or Vanilla Wafers.

(Nice stuff Pete!)

Testing complete:

Tagalongs - no
Vanilla Wafers - no

Later this evening I plan on retesting, just to be sure.

If you like this you should look for Bizarro's Double Stuffed trick, which involves eating the cream from an Oreo, then restoring it. Not the same effect as Pete's, but may be of interest.

Take care, Ian

P.S. you can find it at http://www.smappdooda.com/xtra/cookie.html

You're welcome.

I gained about ten pounds working on this trick. The sacrifices we make for our art.

Luckily it works both ways - I lost 61 pounds while developing my Projectile Vomit act for FISM. (which I performed to Sting's "Shape of My Heart")
