For anyone in the Austin area - I am hoping to find enough of you magicians out there, that would like to get together for weekly meetups/hangouts. There are some great bars/breweries/pizza shops in town that would make great venues.

A group often meets after the Austin IBM meetings. They head over to a local bar.

We just finished a multi week book club where we worked through The Magic Rainbow. We will likely be doing another book in the fall.

There is also a group called The Secret Society (you can get more info on the Facebook page) which meets irregularly to work on magic and even hosts small events where people can practice what they have been developing.

And once a month there is a group that meets in south Austin devoted to card magic. Mostly beginner level stuff but it’s a good hang - albeit way too early for my tastes.
