The first stunt would be great with a sealed opaque ball and a second ungaffed ball. Switch in the gaff and apparently use mind power to stop the ball from rolling.

Let's hope something other than honey is used. I'm assuming based on friction and the surfaces being covered the ball rolls faster as a result. Towards the end of the ramp it even speeds up.
