Here is some correspondence between Irish writer Samuel Beckett and cartoonist Ernie Bushmiller.
It is a wonderful world that we live in, that someone who wants to know what the author of "Waiting for Godot" would have to say to the artist and writer behind Nancy and Sluggo, and what the cartoonist would say back in return, can sit on his couch in his gym shorts and look it up with a few strokes of a keyboard.
If you need for there to be some sort of magic connection for this post to be of use (I don't), Bushmiller was, for a short while, an illustrator for Houdini's "Red Magic Section" newspaper insert in the 1920s.
