Dear friend Bill,

Also the final scene was inspired in Yellow Kid Weill.

Truly yours,

A good article about Maurer: "con artistry is entertaining."

Bill, when I click on your link it doesn't take me to an excerpt, just the home page.

Grafters I Have Met by J.P. Johnston was published in 1906 and covers many scams and cons.

Actually I was referring to the link to the excerpt. Either way, thanks for the tip. It's on my kindle.

I don't know whether anyone has mentioned this show before, but Amazon Prime's, "Sneaky Pete" is a delight for fans of cons, card handling and, well, Canada. I believe magician Noah Levine is the consultant to the show and his hands perform some of the moves. The cons are great and in true The Sting style, the audience gets conned too. As to Canada, Graham Yost plays a big part behind the scenes, and since he's a Canadian, he slips in stuff for the viewers up north.

Hopefully he will maintain a sizeable presence in the third season before they write his character off. It is a perfect show for him.
