All this really doesn't matter to nonmagicians. Really magic is magic to them. They really dont care how a show is strung together they just wanna see some magic, simple or elaborate.

Randy;
I did always close with only myself on stage and would not want spectators on with me for the closing. IMHO - I would not consider that to be "clean". Getting them off stage after the act would be untidy and not leave a good impression for the audience's final memory of the act.
