I know these articles draw a mixed reaction from magicians but...
For those of you who have an interest in what experimental psychology is saying about magic here is another article on forcing.
This time it's from David Bestue a researcher in Barcelona. The article was published on psyarxiv a preprint service. If I understand correctly that means it has not gone through peer review.

Re: another psych study of forcing
For non-Ontario residents: Port Hope is an actual place not an imaginary construct by Daniel of some uber optimistic utopia. Brockville where, I live, is, on the other hand, completely an imaginary construct by me.
Re: another psych study of forcing
All Cretan's and all residents of Brockville are liars. Bob Farmer is a resident of one or the other.

Is one or the other near Ontario?
Is there an easy "akin to asking 'what would they say is' type framing" way to determine if someone is confident in their illusion of free choice?

Re: another psych study of forcing
The illusion of free choice is relevant to forcing. But how to test that without destroying the illusion?

Re: another psych study of forcing
The late Tom Baxter had some wonderful work on forcing. I hope he left details to be published.

A seance to reveal magic forcing techniques ... could happen. http://geniimagazine.com/wiki/index.php/Thomas_Baxter ?
Paul Gertner has some work on the classic force which may be suitable for experiment / data collection. Such would be in line with what the author suggests at the end of his article.

..., I encourage forcing techniques -as well as magic tricks- to be studied in the context of a real performance by a professional magician ( Bestue et al., 2020 ) instead of in the context of the laboratory setting performed by amateur magicians.
