Probabilistic Combinatorics

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Perhaps snag an equation for your back of envelope calculation prediction.
Or simply treat youself to layman-like wonder of being completely lost and amazed.
Diaconis fans will get to at least get an idea of what it would be like to audit one of his classes.
Term papers due next month.
Good luck!

Someone should teach Dr. Diaconis how to use Power Point.

What Are the Chances? Probability Made Clear

Discrete Mathematics
2009 Arthur Benjamin

Math & Magic
2018 Arthur Benjamin

Although these courses are a bit pricey, even when they do go on sale, bear in mind that you get 6-12 hours worth of instruction. Also, second-hand copies in DVD format go for a lot cheaper. I find a lot of these great courses at a local outdoor swap meet for a $1 each, unbeknownst to the seller of the market value.

On the contrary, Bill, I'm always happy to see successful people with handwriting nearly as bad as my own :)
