Steinmeyer in Popular Mechanics

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

This came out some months ago, and it's very good! But it's behind a paywall for some people.

Hi Richard. I thought the article was not current but I couldn't find it previously posted on the forum. I was able to access the article no problem and I don't have a subscription. Possibly a geoblocking issue or...?
stay well.

Since it looks like a fascinating article, I saved it as a Word file to read it later.

So if anybody wishes to read it but cannot access it, let me have your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

My apologies, I wasn't aware of that. In that case, I won't be forwarding it.

Thanks for letting me know, Richard.

The current issue of Penguin Magic Monthly (Sept. 2020) has a nice bonus insert utilizing two loyalty cards based on an effect in Curious Impuzzibilities. I especially like the design of the two cards included with the issue as each card essentially gives you 20 manageable pieces of paper wherein numerals or letters can be written on before and rearranged after being torn out. And that's just the lower half of the card. The upper half of the card or pieces thereof can also be repurposed for writing predictions on the backside. As luck may have it (due to an error at the printers) a PDF may be provided in the near future for both loyalty cards (accessible through Penguin's My Account Private Chat Board).

I just came across the Popular Mechanics article today, via PressReader, as I was passing through an airport lounge.

I like the directness of his opening card effect.
