Thanks for posting the list, DZ.
Glad to see that Denny's shop, The Magic Apple, and Midwest Magic made it. I'm a bit surprised that Tannen's didn't at least get a mention.
Does Sadowitz really run the International Magic Shop in London?

I wondered the same thing myself. "Once Famous Comedian Now Demos at Magic Shop."

Jerry has been behind the counter at International Magic for years.
It has been a few years since I went there - so not sure if that is still the case.

My favourite (non-magic) magazine had a feature on Davenport's magic shop last week.

Personally I always preferred International Magic.
We have always been lucky in the UK. You can walk into International Magic in London and chat to Jerry Sadowitz. And you can walk into Tam Shepherds in Glasgow and talk to Roy Walton.
Remarkable.

There is nothing lucky about being able to chat with Jerry Sadowitz.

Jerry Sadowitz is the best card performer AND card creator I know of.
I just wish you Americans got to see what an amazing job he did on the BBC series called Stuff The White Rabbit.
It really was incredible.
And his magazine The Crimp is the best card journal in magic.
His books are pretty great as well!

International Magic, London is run by Martin McMillan, Ron's son. Marco and Barry are the two main demonstrators. Jerry occasionally helps out.

I was just perusing the Genii archives recently, glancing at an issue from the early 90s that featured both an ad for "The Crimp" in the back, and an editor's rant against Tenyo for being 'knock-off artists' in the same issue. Funny how time changes things
