a magic wallet on kickstarter

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

It's called a "magic wallet," but no magician will be interested in it.

That's very true Matt. Though got one just like it in a magic kit as a kid (well, made of vinyl or something similar).

Hen had a marketed routine using this style of wallet. Pretty elaborate. Was a surprise find at an auction years ago.

I don't remember the name of the Hen Fetch trick. I do know that Tom Frank also had a trick with this wallet called "Tricky Wallet". I don't know if he still sells it.

Could the Fetch trick be "Wallet Wallop"?

Wallet Wallop didn't use a switch wallet.

And this one now on sale at Quicker than the Eye. https://quickerthantheeye.com/p/cards-7 ... gic-wallet
The description reads:
Himber-type wallet to hold treasury notes. Exterior of faux leather, interior with paper resembling silk cloth. Reads "Treasury Note Wallet" on exterior and "A. Powrie, Naval and Military Tailor, Dundee" on interior. Inscribed in pencil by "D. Davidson, Phila." Minor edgewear and staining, otherwise functions well.

Was it sold as a gag, a magic prop, or a curiosity? I'm not sure but while I can't speak for Matt Field I feel I must temper my comments indicating no magician would be interested.

Wondering if this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob%27s_ladder_(toy)
has been made to resemble a pocket wallet by using thin panels rather than blocks.

I was pleasantly (unpleasantly?) surprised to see these in a leather clothing store in Florence. No instructions or any indication they were special in any way.

I found it amusing that amongst all of the high end leather goods, these Himberesque wallets (made of fine Italian leather) were innocently sitting there in a big stack, with most of the customers none the wiser.

I almost bought one, but those straps just ruin it for me.

By the way, it's Hen Fetsch, with an "s".
