Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

As mentioned on Genii Online https://tinyurl.com/ybjxu2px
Our film Science and Magic will air in Canada, Sunday March 18 on the CBC. The name is a bit of a misnomer. Its not primarily about how magic uses science, or how science can cast light on how magicians do their trick. The focus of the film is scientists using magic to create experiments to probe aspects of consciousness, cognition, belief formation, etc that would otherwise be hard to explore in the lab. There's lots of great magic, thanks to the performers who participated:Julie Eng, Pit Hartling, Thomas Fraps, Juan Tamariz, and our magical consultant David Ben. Thanks to the scientists who participated there's lots of interesting science, some of it as astonishing as the magic. I don't think it will surprise you to learn that some of those scientists are also magicians and you'll see a few of them showing of their chops.
This is the Canadian TV version of the film. The International version is in the works. Stay tuned.
