This is a shameless plug for NRBQ. Those of you that are familiar with the band know that they have been around for a while. Their line up has changed down through the years, but Terry has always worked with great musicians. The current line up features a very good friend of mine on bass and vocals. Casey McDonough and I played in bands together growing up on Chicago's South Side. Please check it out. Rarely do my two worlds (magic/music) collide like this.
You can purchase the new CD "Brass Tacks" from the NRBQ website: http://www.nrbq.com
** PENN on BRASS TACKS **
“Today, I’m on 8 times in a row and still going. I’m digging it.
Man, I love hearing a record that is not ironic or cynical. I love that the layers on it are musical and not a superficial spin on the top.
Real emotion. It’s killing me.”
–Penn Jillette on “Brass Tacks”
Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.
