Hi! I don't know how many of you have seen this, but, apparently, you can buy the 8 volumes of the Tarbell Course in Magic for a meager 5.73 (less than $9.50).
8 volumes!
Of course, the catch is that it's for the Kindle...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Origin ... 184&sr=1-1
In the US of A, the product is available for $9.24 (I believe... from the UK I can't see the price...): http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Original ... 998&sr=1-1
Has anybody got it? If so... what is it? Is it the real 8 volumes from Robbins, or is it the copyright-free version of the original Tarbell lessons, available left, right and centre?
If it's the 8 volumes, then I think that at this price should be considered a bargain... :)
Before somebody tells me to "buy and discover it myself"... I already have the Tarbell (on paper... ;) ) and I don't own a Kindle... my wife does but she's not into magic! :D
Many thanks!

You don't need to own a Kindle. There is a Kindle app for the iPad.

:) ain't got an iPad either... but I'd rather get an iPad over the Kindle, if only to read digital Genii a month before the paper copy!
However, according to some post on the green monster, it seems the advert is misleading and the product is actually the original Tarbell lessons...

The original 60-lesson system is certainly worth far more than $8!

Actually, it might depend on how much work they put into scanning and converting it. Some public domain ebooks are horrible.

I bought it. It's the 60 lessons, not the eight volumes. And the ebook production is pretty poor. For one, the table of contents isn't clickable -- i.e., it's just a listing of what's upcoming with no page numbers. So, it's near useless. And it doesn't look like it was specifically laid out for the Kindle. Lots of awkward spaces and bits of crammed together text.

True, but it's also available for free on The Learned Pig Project in PDF form. And Scott's right: the Kindle version is ca-ca.
Coulda bought two beers with that eight bucks

It takes less than a second to make a TOC clickable. Sad day.
