Magic Newswire Podcasts

Thanks to a brand new cell phone with built in MP3 player I have been looking for interesting things to listen to. That led me to the Magic Newswire Podcasts (Which I download for free via ITunes.)
What an amazing resource. Wonderful interviews done in an informal manner filled with so much information.
I started with the Max Maven S.E.A.M. interview and worked my way to the Harry Anderson on my first day and have listened to at least one a day since then.
I know the guy behind Magic Newswire posts here often, so I just want to publicly say thanks for doing this. It's just amazing and I highly recommend everyone give it a listen.

there are quite a few podcasts related to magic... itricks.com has a number featuring magic news and reviews as well as specific ones on stars of magic, and more...

www.itricks.com

I've started the Magic Convention Guide podcasts last week as well, and will be recording the next this week...

www.magicconventionguide.com

you can do a quick search on the iTunes store for podcasts under performing arts to find quite a few interesting series...

There is also one for Criss Angel fans and one for David Blaine fans.
The one thing I like about the ITunes Podcast store is that all of the Podcasts are there, not just the most recent. Which means the Jamy Ian Swiss interview on the Skepticality Podcast from 2006 is still available for your listening pleasure.
It's an amazing world we live in.

The Magic Newswire is the site I most often visit regarding magic. (besides here)

The Richard Turner interview is my favorite.

I agree with Gord, the site and the podcasts are great!

Do you have a date for this one? I was not able to find it on the Skepticality list I have downloaded.

I have been enjoying the Magic Newswire ones.

My apologies, I got the year right but the podcast wrong.

The Jamy Ian Swiss interview I spoke of was on the "Point of Inquiry" podcast on March 24, 2006. (24/03/2006)
He did a second interview with them on May 23, 2008. (23/05/2008)

While we are at it, Max Maven did an interview with the same podcast on Jan 13, 2006. (13/01/2006).

And Eugine Burger did one on Jan 12, 2007. (12/01/2007).

Magicians are all over the "skeptic" podcasts, which include 'Skepticality" and "The Skeptics Guide".

Enjoy.

Danny Garcia went up yesterday. Michael Ammar, David Kaplan and Jeff McBride are recorded but need editing ... Ricky is next to impossible, but I never give up hope. If anyone here is good friends with him, message me and suggest possibilities. Daryl took a pass when I contacted him some months ago, but I'll keep trying. As to the others, stay tuned. ;-)

In addition, if anyone needs assistance figuring out how to get the podcasts, please do not hesitate to email me at magicnewswire@gmail.com I'll be happy to help.

If you use iTunes, click on the following link to subscribe and new shows will automatically be downloaded and placed on your iPod:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSt ... =277451149

The RSS Feed can be bookemarked in your browser at this address:
feed://www.mevio.com/feeds/themagicnewswire.xml

Or... you can simply use the player on the website and listen on your computer. I also post a direct link to the MP3 file with each episode so that you can download and use it on any other MP3 player.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Ricky probably thinks he is above this type of thing, but it would still be interesting to see an interview with him. Thanks for keeping us updated, Dodd!

Both absolutely fascinating. I arrived too late today for a viewing of Gran Torino (the theater was already full) and had to wait a half hour for the next showing. Listening to Jim Steinmeyer's tale made the time fly by.

One word Dodd: Fantastic!

Mai-Ling: Out of curiosity, has Mike told you that? The reason I ask is because I see little similarity in the photos. In fact, I would saywith due respect to your fathers accomplishmentstheres as much if not more similarity between Mikes and this photo than Mikes and your dads.

no dustin.
i was more or less just making a general comment.
who knows...right?

however, the fact that it's on his shoulder and not
many use chickens, especially chinese cochans is
a kind of coincidence. and everyone knows about my
dad and his chinese chochans.

i bet that that hen that he has on his shoulder is
from david charvet's chicken farm too.
