WWPD - Bird - Outstanding effect

Postby PickaCard » April 17th, 2023, 8:57 pm

I want to mention how much I am appreciating Jonathan Friedman's column WWPD.

It is by far some of my favorite content in Genii, right up there with John Bannon's Dealing With It. This is some great material for the casual social performer, which I am ready to bet applies to the great majority of Genii readers.

I have performed Bird several times to outstanding reactions. I get people to burst out laughing on the reveal. The hands off approach to handling the deck and the visual reveal is such a surprise because they expect to see the word on their phone. I just love this effect.

I can't wait to see what Jonathan and Paul shares with us next.

Glad to hear it!
But none of the material in this column is Paul's. These are Jonathan's creations, who always keeps in mind "what Paul might do" in these situations.

Thank you for correcting me and a big thank you to Jonathan on this one.

I re-read the December 2022 inaugural column of WWPD, as I recalled that he said the effects were directly brainstormed with Paul. But I now see my mistake as he wrote that they will be his original effects with a few brainstormed with Paul.

Keep them coming :)
