"Three Loop Chain Bracelet"

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

"Three Loop Chain Bracelet"

Postby JFox » December 6th, 2022, 12:42 pm

RE: George B. Anderson's "Lecture Notebook" (1980 / Magic, Inc.)....

He makes reference to a "Three Loop Chain Bracelet" (p. 35).

To paraphrase the Effect (as per p.32): Three steel bracelets are shown linked together. It is demonstrated that neither any of the single bracelets, nor all three bracelets together - can be forcibly pushed over the hand and onto the wrist.

..and yet, the performer proceeds to do exactly that!

This sounds like an old party puzzle or "challenge stunt", but I have not found any references to it in either "Ask Alexander", nor in the Magic, Inc. catalogs.

Can anyone provide me with detailed information on this effect?

Thanks.
