Help, Please: Jumbo Rough & Smooth Cards With Holes

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

Help, Please: Jumbo Rough & Smooth Cards With Holes

Postby AnnieHilary » February 8th, 2022, 7:54 am

Hello everyone! Thank you, administrators, for accepting my request to join!
I would greatly appreciate some expert advice on the following:
I purchased at a magic Flea Market a set of five 4.5"×7" red bicycle back cards. They are rough & smooth. The front cards are 2H, 3D, 4H, 5D and 9D. The back cards are a 2D force, and each one has quarter-size holes in them, the quantity of which corresponds to the number on the front card (except the 9D, which has a 2D force with only 6 holes.)
When I picked them up at the Flea Market, I just thought they were rough & smooth, I didn't realize until I got home that they had the holes in the 2D's. Is this an effect in itself, or part of an effect, or do I need to add them to a red back jumbo deck and do what???
This is what I get for being a magic addict!
I thank you in advance for any assistance you may offer.
