A card finding routine inspired by David Copperfield’s interactive magic in 1993

I put together a few techniques and principles to form this card effect in which a card seems to be located entirely by the spectator and their luck. The letter counting principle involved was told by Max Maven to be something very old. I could further mention its inventor if you could give me their name.
