Help with Credit
I'm trying to find the source for the card revelation on fan where you fan half the deck in the right hand and the top card of the left hand packet is propelled by the first finger onto the fan in the right hand so it does a 180 to land face up on the right hand fan. Who is this credited to? Many thanks.

Yes, that's it. Who should it be credited to? I'm thinking LePaul but not sure.

Re: Help with Credit
Well, the flip out move appears to be the same or very similar to half of the action in Paul Harris’s flourish where a card is flicked from the hand to the deck while one is flicked simultaneously from the deck to the hand. Double Exchange?!? I want
To say it was in one of the close up fantasy books. But both the Title and location dredged memories. I can tell you that he does perform and teach this in his tannen’s video tape.

Instant replay/simple switch
May not be the original source of a card flipping off the deck, but it’s a start.

Close up kinda guy.
Again - not specifically a card jumping on top of the fan, but same mechanics to propel the card

Think eddie fechter is the originator. Spring card revelation is in magician nightly, 1974, page 121... or at least it's the inspiration.
I have the book in front of me..
Fechter's is from the deck to hand.....
Fechter is also mentioned in the credits here:https://www.conjuringarchive.com/list/book/923?highlight=45275

Re: Help with Credit
That makes perfect sense as Michael Skinner taught this to me years ago and he used it all the time. He most probably got it from Eddie.
Many thanks.

Re: Help with Credit
I saw a video of Mr. Skinner performing on a bus on youtube YEARS ago (i can't find the video anymore!) and he was performing the paul harris version!
If anyone knows where to find this or has it could you contact me?

I know the video you are talking about and I can't find it either. I think it was taken down a few years ago.

Re: Help with Credit
FYI all, thanks to Justin, I found the answer in Ortiz At The Card Table. It was Skinner's handling of the Fechter spring card revelation. Apparently, the fan was Mike's idea. I should have known that.
