This is not a "sales" post. In my over 30 years in magic and mentalism I've never marketed nor sold items to the magic community at-large. I'm just looking to see if there is any interest and to what degree about such an item. Forgive me if there is a better place to place this post. After looking around this seemed to be the best place to start as I'm not officially selling anything at this point.
However, like many over the years, I've built many of my own props and tools for my performances, and this is just one of them. Some time ago, I spoke in person with a long-time magic dealer (known by most all of us here, but the name isn't important) about selling some of my items. This hood is one of them. They loved it and said that they had not seen one like this before, and of such good quality.
I designed and made this particular hood eight years ago when doing one of my blindfolded car drives. This one is the original, and it is a little worse for the wear after many uses but the photos give you an idea of what it looks like.
It is examinable, and can be worn and turned on all sides by a spectator without the secret being discovered. Yet when used offers complete and full frontal vision. No small holes to look through. In fact, in the photo where I am wearing it, I can see clearly everything in front of me, especially my wife who is snapping the photo. It is especially great for outdoor performances. I even have a video of me doing a blindfold drive with it that I may link to later if anyone is interested.
As I am re-structuring some of my business, I'm considering making up a handful of these and making them available for purchase.
